residence (that include facilities and meals) may be available
to full time students at very reasonable cost however demand for
places is high and applications must be made through the
selected institution. Alternatively students can also rent an
apartment or house generally these are shared with other
students. Many students prefer, at least for the first few
months to stay with an Australian family. This is called
"home stay" and a private room and meals are provided.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
All international students studying in Australia must have
overseas student health cover. An application form to apply for

The cost is A$312 Australian dollars per year (or the family
premium if your spouse and/or children are accompanying you).
