To apply to an Australian education institution, you will need to

Complete an application form provided by the institution and course preferences;

provide certified copies of your academic transcript from the school, college or university you attend or attended most recently and a copies of any qualifications you have already gained; 

Where required, evidence of proficiency in English, For university entry, provide documentation to confirm that you have completed at least 12 years of schooling. 

You can make an application direct to an Australian institution or via the institution’s representative education agent in your home country (where present).

The institution will assess your application and supporting documents and advise if you meet the entry requirements and will be admitted. If successful, the institution will send you a letter of offer. Depending on your country of nationality and the education sector of your study you may be required to undergo a pre-visa assessment before the institution issues an Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE).  This document will be critical to the processing of your student visa application.

You may be required to pay tuition fees before applying for the student visa. The institution will advise you of its requirements but generally it will require payment of at least one semester of course fees.
